Daniel Fah

CFO Strategic Founder Daniel Fah has developed his commercial experience through senior executive roles in a variety of industries in Australia, United Kingdom, North America and New Zealand.

Specialist areas: Strategic business planning and financial management with private equity and investee companies. Company secretary for ASX listed companies, advanced analysis and financial modelling, exit strategy implementation, management of seed and growth capital funding rounds, planning and establishment of international operations

Companies: Andersen Consulting (UK), Barclays de Zoete Wedd (UK) International Game Technology, ASX listed companies and various investee companies of private equity firms.

Significant engagements include assignments with Andersen Consulting in London to establish the financial control & reporting systems for the largest outsource deal ever done at the time by AC, the transfer of 900 IT & Finance staff from Sears PLC.  The reporting systems  were designed to provide timely and accurate information and overcome the multitude of complexities relating to the merger of the two businesses. On the successful completion of the engagement, Daniel took over the IT Financial Controller role with Barclays de Zoete Wedd (the merchant banking arm of Barclays PLC).

Since 1997 Daniel has been based in Sydney. He joined IGT (Australia) Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of IGT International LLC, the largest gaming machine manufacture in the world. The role enhanced his experience base to include manufacturing, software development and retail.

As Chief Financial Officer Daniel was instrumental in the establishment of Next Generation Gaming Pty Ltd a technology start-up in the gaming software industry. Initially he secured $2.5m in seed capital and subsequently raised an additional $8m of growth capital from US and Australian based venture capitalists. He also established and operated the foreign branch office in London and leading the business through the critical early and growth phases and instigating fiscal and operational controls.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree with endorsements in Accountancy from Massey University (New Zealand). Professional memberships are with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
